Many from the St Edward's community took part in the actual - or virtual - London Marathon 2021. It was an impressive effort from all those who ran, and a great deal of money was raised for various causes.

Natasha Townsend, the girls' rowing coach, ran the 26.2 miles in a very respectable time of just a minute over 4 hours, raising money for the Aplastic Anaemia Trust. She said 'I was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia in 2015 and had a successful treatment, so it is lovely to be able to give something back.' Antony Edwards, Teddies dance teacher, raised over £2,000 for children with cancer in his marathon run, while Visiting Music Teacher Annie Law ran for Motor Neurone Disease, in memory of her late Father. Rachel Bellamy ran a rather different marathon on Sunday -  the Loch Ness Marathon, which she says had 'beautiful Scottish scenery and not quite so lovely Scottish weather.' Rachel is raised funds for Cancer Research UK.
